Step by Step Method

Step 1

Boil pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente, drain saving 1/4 cup pasta water.

Step 2

Meanwhile, cook ground beef and onions until onions are translucent.

Step 3

Drain if needed.

Step 4

Add tomato soup rinsing out can with some pasta water. Be careful it's hot, simmer until pasta is done.

Sauce


Step 5

Add cheese, cream of mushroom soup rinsing out can with milk to hot noodles.

Step 6

In a Pam sprayed 8x8 casserole, layer 1/2 the noodles, seasoning lightly to taste.

Step 7

Add 1/2 the meat sauce and season lightly.

Step 8

Add noodles.

Step 9

Top with rest of meat sauce.

Step 10

Bake in 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes.

This is so easy and so good. We made as directed but could see adding mushrooms or another vegetable to this casserole -- maybe next time.
