Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Beef
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 20 ounces tomato soup (1 big can or 2 small cans)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Noodles
  • 8 ounces dry egg noodles
  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sauce
  • 10 ounces cream of mushroom soup (1 can)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente, drain saving 1/4 cup pasta water.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, cook ground beef and onions until onions are translucent.

  • Step 3: Drain if needed.

  • Step 4: Add tomato soup rinsing out can with some pasta water. Be careful it's hot, simmer until pasta is done.

  • Sauce

  • Step 5: Add cheese, cream of mushroom soup rinsing out can with milk to hot noodles.

  • Step 6: In a Pam sprayed 8x8 casserole, layer 1/2 the noodles, seasoning lightly to taste.

  • Step 7: Add 1/2 the meat sauce and season lightly.

  • Step 8: Add noodles.

  • Step 9: Top with rest of meat sauce.

  • Step 10: Bake in 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes.
