Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add flour. Divide in 1/2.

Step 2

To the first half add nuts and coconut. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 pan; set aside.

Step 3

Combine egg, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, buttermilk, and vanilla.add rest of crumbs

Step 4

Spread over first layer.

Step 5

Bake in 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 45 minutes.

Step 6

While still warm frost with thin icing. can sprinkle on more cinnamon.

These are great and easy to make too! I made these to use up some buttermilk and I am glad we did as these are delicious. We skipped the coconut and nuts and they are good without these additions, but next time will try them with both the nuts and coconut. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this yummy recipe, we all love cinnamon so I doubled the cinnamon amount. These went very quickly at my house, I will be making it many times more!
