Step by Step Method
Step 1
Combine the flour, paprika salt and pepper.

Add beef and toss to coat.

In a Dutch oven

Brown the beef in oil in batches

Add the onions, garlic

Add dill, caraway, paprika and water.(can add beef bouillon)

Add beef back in

Add carrots and mushrooms

Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally. Adding water as needed your braising so water is kept low

Stir in sour cream and 1 tablespoon flour mixed in

Heat through but do not boil.

Heat sauerkraut

Drain and spoon onto a serving platter. Top with the beef mixture.

Sprinkle with paprika.
