Blackberry Cobbler
"I didn't have enough fresh blackberries to make even 1/2 of this recipe that I found on Betty Crocker's website, so I added some frozen mixed berries to complete the amount. I really like spreading the batter on the bottom of the baking dish so it covers the fruit as it rises."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Stir together blackberries and sugar. Let stand about 20 minutes or until fruit syrup forms.
Step 2
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 3
Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and milk. (I stirred until well combined, but not until completely smooth. There were some flour lumps still remaining.) Stir in melted butter until blended. Mix well but gently.
Step 4
Bake 45 minutes or until dough rises and is golden.
