Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place half-and-half and chicken broth in Stock pot.

Step 2

Add cheese that you have cubed into small chunks along with the salt and pepper.

Step 3

Heat until cheese is melted.

Step 4

On very low heat simmer, stirring occasionally. Don't boil.

Step 5

Add broccoli.

Step 6

Mix cornstarch and water in small bowl.

Step 7

Stir into cheese mixture in stock pot until soup thickens. Add milk if to thick.
