  • 2 pounds frozen broccoli, chopped fine
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 16 ounces light cream,(1 pint half-and-half)
  • 1 pound pasteurized processed cheese ,(velveeta)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place half-and-half and chicken broth in Stock pot.

  • Step 2: Add cheese that you have cubed into small chunks along with the salt and pepper.

  • Step 3: Heat until cheese is melted.

  • Step 4: On very low heat simmer, stirring occasionally. Don't boil.

  • Step 5: Add broccoli.

  • Step 6: Mix cornstarch and water in small bowl.

  • Step 7: Stir into cheese mixture in stock pot until soup thickens. Add milk if to thick.
