Step 1: Place half-and-half and chicken broth in Stock pot.
Step 2: Add cheese that you have cubed into small chunks along with the salt and pepper.
Step 3: Heat until cheese is melted.
Step 4: On very low heat simmer, stirring occasionally. Don't boil.
Step 5: Add broccoli.
Step 6: Mix cornstarch and water in small bowl.
Step 7: Stir into cheese mixture in stock pot until soup thickens. Add milk if to thick.
