"This is an easy crockpot recipe. It's more of a ham and veggies soup. They had fresh in original recipe but it's easier for frozen for me and dried herbs work for me too. lol As for seasoning, season to your own taste. They used rolled oats I'm using steel cut."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a Pam sprayed crockpot, add everything but kale, use ham bullion to taste.
Step 2
Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 hours or on high-heat setting for 5 hours.
Step 3
Stir in kale.
Step 4
If on low-heat setting, turn to high-heat setting. Cover and cook for 30 minutes more.
