Step by Step Method
Step 1
Season beef with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Heat an oiled, large frying pan over a high heat and add beef and cook, for about 3 minutes on each side, for medium done, or until cooked to your liking.
Step 3
Remove and rest, loosely covered with foil for 5 minutes and then thinly slice.
Step 4
Cook the noodles according to the packet directions until tender and drain and cover to keep warm.
Step 5
Place stock and ginger in a large saucepan and bring to the boil and gently boil for 5 minutes and then stir in sauce and paste. Remove from heat and discard the ginger.
Step 6
To serve, divide noodles, beef and cabbage evenly among serving bowls. Spoon over hot stock. Sprinkle with onions.
