Step by Step Method
Step 1
Season pork with garlic salt and chili powder.
Step 2
Pour a little cola in the bottom of a slow cooker or crock pot, then place the pork at the bottom. Then add enough cola to just cover the pork.
Step 3
Cook on low for 8 hours.
Step 4
A little over 1 hour before the pork is completed, preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Step 5
Scrub the potatoes under water and wrap in foil. Bake for 60 minutes.
Step 6
Once pork has finished cooking, remove from crock pot and discard liquid, reserving 2 tablespoons.
Step 7
Shred the meat with a fork, then mix with BBQ sauce and 2 tablespoons of reserved crock pot liquid.
Step 8
Return meat to crock pot and turn setting to low. This will keep the meat hot until ready to serve.
Step 9
Cut open sweet potatoes and fill with BBQ pork. Top with extra BBQ.
