"Tang of lemon with hot sauce and garlic great combo. You can also serve these as appetizers on a toothpick.. Serve with a nics crisp green salad and crusty rolls. I like to skewer them for easier handling - either way is fine.If you use wooden skewers soak them in water for at least an hour. If you don't BBQ just pan fry them - only takes about 4 minutes. Do not over cook prawns or they will toughen."

  • When selecting the shrimp/prawns, make sure to purchase them fresh and peeled.
  • For best flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice rather than pre-packaged lemon juice.

  • Replace the olive oil with coconut oil. Coconut oil has a higher smoke point than olive oil and therefore will be less likely to burn the prawns. This will help to preserve the flavour of the dish.
  • Replace the cayenne pepper with chili flakes. Chili flakes have a milder heat than cayenne pepper and can be adjusted to taste. This will make the dish more accessible to those who prefer a milder spice level.

Garlic Chili Prawns Replace the cayenne and paprika with 2 tablespoons of garlic chili sauce. Grill the prawns for 3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink.
