Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the bell pepper and onion and saute' until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and saute' for an additional minute.

Step 2

Add the cooked pulled pork, barbecue sauce, and baked beans. Turn the heat to medium-low and simmer the mixture for about 15 minutes.

Step 3

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions, until al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain spaghetti and reserve 4 ounces of cooked pasta water.

Step 4

Add the cooked spaghetti to the barbecue mixture and toss until completely coated with sauce. Add the reserved pasta water at the very end if the mixture is too thick.

Step 5

Season with salt and pepper.

Thank you for this delicious comfort food. I didn't realize I didn't have enough barbeque sauce, so I also added ketchup and brown sugar. This is good. I used raccoon instead of pork.

On 1/22/16 I made this recipe for our dinner,and most importantly for the " Alphabet Tag " game.:) Since it was just the two of us, the recipe was greatly reduced and it still made quite a bit.I had some leftovers from my recipe #recipe7893. Because of personal choices,the green pepper was left out.I really like the idea for the reserved pasta water.And the BBQ Sauce that I used was a Spicy Honey and it worked very well. This recipe is a very good way to use BBQ leftovers. I'm so please to be the first one to rate,review,and photograph this recipe. Thanks for posting and " Keep Smiling :)
