"There are dozens of versions of the popular Caribbean cocktail called Bahama Mama. All are quite good, too! But this is the recipe I have always used to make the Bahama Mama cocktail (which it is said to be an exact copycat of the one served at Bahama Breeze Island Grille, and it is quite similar to the one served at TGI Fridays restaurants). It is so good and refreshing, and I really enjoy the distinct tropical "taste of the Islands" feel of this cocktail."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Add about 1/2 cup of ice to a tall drinking glass (such as Collins, Highball or short Hurricane glass).

Step 2

Add remaining 1/2 cup of ice to a cocktail shaker. Pour all 3 of the rums, the banana liqueur, and both fruit juices over the ice. Top with lid, and shake vigorously until well blended. Strain cocktail into the ice-filled glass.

Step 3

Add a generous splash of Sprite to the glass. Garnish rim of glass with a pineapple slice and stemmed cherry. Add a straw, and serve immediately.

Yep, this is soooo good! Only tweak was to add a teeny bit of the maraschino cherry juice, because I wanted it to be a more orangy color, like the ones at my favorite tiki bar!
