"A quick bread, kind of like soda bread made with self raising flour and over campfires in Australia. For 2 cups self rising flour you use 2 cups flour, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F
Step 2
Place flour, chives, paprika and salt into a large bowl.
Step 3
Cut in butter using knife until like breadcrumbs.
Step 4
Stir in cheese, reserving 2 tablespoons.
Step 5
Whisk together sour cream and water.
Step 6
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in sour cream.
Step 7
Mix together using a knife until mixture comes together.
Step 8
Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
Step 9
Pat out to a 8" circle.
Step 10
Place on a baking tray and mark into wedges with a knife like soda bread.
Step 11
Sprinkle over remaining cheese.
Step 12
Bake for 15 minutes, then move to bottom rack of oven and cook for a further 10 minutes until risen and sounds hollow when tapped.
Step 13
Wrap in a clean tea towel to keep warm.
Step 14
Serve warm with butter.
