Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Wash the asparagus thoroughly and trim off the tough ends. Place the asparagus spears in a baking dish and drizzle them with olive oil. Toss the asparagus to coat them evenly with the oil.

Step 3

Season the asparagus with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4

Sprinkle the desired amount of dill pickle brine over the asparagus. You can use a small spoon or simply drizzle it lightly.

Step 5

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the asparagus is tender and slightly caramelized.

Step 6

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

I actually soaked the asparagus spears in pickle juice overnight then followed instructions as listed. This turned out so good!! Hubby usually forces himself to eat asparagus, but not this time, he loved them.

Super easy way to give your asparagus a little flavor. I was worried about using too much pickle brine but the flavor is actually pretty mild. I actually made it twice and added more pickle brine the second time. Yum!
