"This is made for 20 servings but you can cut it down or freeze it this was in 1969 Republican cookbook and was developed for the Arizona senete In honor of the Senate bean soup . I think cut in half could go in crockpot"

Soak beans overnight

Next morning

Cook the ham hocks for 2 hours in stockpot

Remove the hocks

Step 5

Drain beans add to ham water

Add vegetables and seasonings

Simmer for 2 hours

Mash lightly

Step 9

Add ham that you have cubed

Step 10

Season to taste

Add milk and butter at end cook just until warm
