Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
Step 3
In a bowl sift together the flour and salt; set aside.
Step 4
In another bowl using an electric mixer cram the butter with the sugar, vanilla, and anise seed until light.
Step 5
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
Step 6
Then add the dry ingredients alternately with the sour cream; scraping bowl well and mix until blended.
Step 7
Pour into prepared pan and bake for one hour or until cake is done. It will be golden and will spring back to the touch.
