"This is from Melissa in her Pants at the other place, it is fantastic. It will season a pound of meat or fish and makes 1 packet equivalent."

Step 1

Mix ingredients.

Step 2

Pour over browned, ground meat (or shredded, cooked meat) in a pan over medium heat.

Step 3

I'm sorry I don't have an amount of water to recommend adding to the seasoning. I usually just wing it and then simmer it down if I get too carried away with the water. I think about a half cup?

Step 4

Simmer until it looks good!

This IS Amazing Taco Seasoning! It smells (and tastes) very similar to the packets you buy at the store -- but I felt good about it because I knew exactly what was in it!

We have tacos often and it's so much cheaper to make our own. This is a great blend of ingredients and tasted great when I used it to make tacos.

I usually buy the packets of taco seasoning but noticed their getting to salty for our taste. Liked that I always have the ingredients on hand and can control the salt. Meat has a good flavor when done simmering. Made and reviewed for the Culinary Quest 2015.

We used this for tacos tonight. I really liked it. It is not really heavy on chili powder and I enjoyed the mix of flavors. I also liked that it made 1 recipe without leftovers to try and keep and use later. I would definitely use this again. Made for Cinco de Mayo on Food, Friends, and Fun.
