"Here's a clever creation from Jamielyn @ www.iheartnaptime.net -- All the goodness of an Almond Joy candy bar. RE TIMES: It was tricky to estimate times as they tended to overlap. You are making the dip while the coconut & almonds are toasting & cooling. Then it comes together at the end when the dip is ready & the coconut & almonds are toasted, cooled & ready to combine w/the dip. This is sure to become a family favorite when served w/graham crackers, vanilla wafers, shortbread, sliced pound cake or fresh fruits of choice like apples, pineapple or strawberries. ENJOY!"
If you are toasting your own coconut & almonds, do that first & place them in the freezer to cool while you prepare the dip.
Beat cream cheese & butter in a mixing bowl until smooth & creamy. Beat in powdered sugar, 1 tbsp of the milk, coconut extract & vanilla extract. Stir in the toasted coconut, chocolate chips & sliced almonds. Add more milk as needed.
You can serve immediately or chill for 30 min to several hrs. It actually tastes better after the flavors have had a chance to blend.

Delicious! We really loved this quick and easy dip. It combines all of the ingredients of one of my favorite candy bars, and results in a dip that I couldn't quit eating. I originally planned to halve the recipe as there was only two of us, but decided to go with the full recipe and I'm glad that I did. I made the recipe as written, allowing it to chill overnight, and served it with vanilla wafers...yummy!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is definitely a keeper!! **Made for 2016 Football Pool**
