This is my favorite and the only way I like to cook Corned Beef and Cabbage. It is very easy and yet so good. This can...
I live in northern California (about 2 hours north of Sacramento). My husband and I live on 10 acres where we grow alfalfa and have a small family orchard of fruit and nut trees. We also have 2 horses, 3 cats, a Dexter cow and calf, and 15 chickens.
I am married to a wonderful guy (since 1979), and we have two terrific kids. Our daughter (born in 1981) has her college degree in microbiology. Our son (born in 1983) has his college degree in computer science.
I am an avid gardener. I recently went back to college myself, and got a degree in Plant Science. I am also a certified Master Gardener. I love to watch football, and I'm an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
I love to go camping and to horseback ride. My greatest passion is to combine the two and take my horses camping with me. Trail riding in God's Country makes everything seem right with the world.

This dish was quick and easy to make, and so tasty, too. I used the tortilla chip option, which I coarsely crushed with my hands as I put them in the baking dish. Also, I used 4-cheese blend Mexican cheese. This dish will be great for those nights when I need to get dinner on the table in a hurry. Yum!!! This was like a fresh banana milkshake. I added a little more milk to make it more drinkable because it was so thick. We loved the added malted milk powder. This was a wonderful drink for a hot summer day. Thank you for sharing. **Made for Susie's World Tour 2019 - Korea**
Delicious! Chicken Marsala is one of my favorite dishes and this one is a real winner. The sauce is so flavorful and the chicken was very tender. This is an easy dish to make, but is definitely company worthy. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is definitely a keeper! **Made for Susie's World Tour 2019 - Italy**
We loved this creamy, spiced hot chocolate! It's super quick and easy to make , and very yummy. I used 4 TBSP. granulated sugar (we like our hot chocolate on the sweeter side), and I used homemade vanilla. I will be making this often in the coming winter months. **Made for 2018 Football Pool**
We loved these lightly lemon flavored scones. They were very quick and easy to make, and were perfect to have with our morning coffee. We are lemon lovers, so I added 1/2 tsp. lemon extract to the dough to intensify the lemon flavor. Also, I didn't have any lemon curd, so I whipped up a quick lemon glaze and drizzled it over the top...yummy! I baked these on parchment paper for about 12 minutes and got 12 scones. Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe. It is definitely a keeper! Made for "For Your Consideration" tag game.
We loved these hearty muffins. My husband loves anything blackberry, so I'm always looking for recipes to make for him. I'm glad that I found this delicious recipe. The oats added a wonderful heartiness and chewiness that we really enjoyed. I used a large duck egg and Penzey's apple pie spice. Also, I didn't use the stated amount of granulated sugar for the tops of the muffins. A scant spoonful of sugar on each was plenty for us. I will be definitely making these again.
Delicious green beans! I used thick-cut bacon and "Zatarain's" creole seasoning. Between the saltiness of the bacon and the creole seasoning, for our tastes, no additional salt was needed. Also, I covered the pan while cooking the beans, uncovering the pan near the end of cooking to allow any liquid to evaporate. We loved the little bit of zing that the creole seasoning added. Thank you for sharing. **Made for 2017 Football Pool**
Delicious!! We really loved these meatballs, and the sauce was outstanding. My husband kept telling me how much he loved the sauce. He thought it was one of the best Swedish meatball sauces that he has ever had. I'm glad that I doubled the sauce ingredients as it gave him alot of sauce for the meatballs and the noodles that I served the meatballs over. Also, I used 1-1/2 lbs ground beef so I increased the meatball ingredients accordingly and got 18 large meatballs. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is definitely a keeper! **Made for 2017 Culinary Quest - Scandinavia for Smok'in Chefs**
We liked these eggs but didn't love them. The addition of the fresh ginger was a little "odd" and added a flavor that wasn't really popular with my family. That being said, it definitely wasn't the fault of the recipe, as ginger seems to be a common addition to eggs in Himalayan recipes. We really enjoyed all of the other spices and vegetables. The recipe goes together very quickly and easily, and all of the cooking times were spot on. I served the eggs topped with sour cream. **Made for 2017 Culinary Quest - Himalayas for Smok'in Chefs**
