Linda's Snickerdoodle Brownies

"These are so good, and a nice change from chocolate brownies. If you love Snickerdoodle Cookies, then you will love these! Sometimes I finely chop 1 cup of walnuts or pecans, and add them in with the batter. Yumm-O!"

These are addictive! I brought them into the office and got compliments galore and I had to bring in the recipe so everyone could get a copy. This is a great find and I will make them every chance I can!.

  Ingredients

  US | Metric  Print Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • TOPPING
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

What You Will Need

No special items needed.
  How to Make

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a medium mixing bowl beat butter and brown sugar together, adding in the eggs, one at a time, then add in the vanilla.

Step 4

Once everything is added, beat 3-5 minutes, until well mixed.

Step 5

Add the wet ingredients into the flour mixture, and stir until well blended.

Step 6

Spread evenly into the pan. It is a thicker batter so use a large spoon, spatula, or your hands (sprayed with oil) to spread it into the pan.

Step 7

Topping: Mix the sugar and cinnamon together, and sprinkle over the top of the batter.

Step 8

Bake 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 9

Cool, then cut into squares.

Auntie, ever since you made these when Mason had a sleepover at your house, he has been bugging me to make them, and I finally did. These are fabulous and I brought some over to my mom's and they were gobbled up. Dad went crazy over them!

I made these to bring to my papa because he is sick and even though he hasn't been eating much he ate 2 of them and was smiling all the way! They are so delicious auntie. I am glad you told me to make them for papa, cause now I have a new favorite brownie on my hands! Sorry I didn't get a photo, but there is a good one here already.

I wanted something different and easy to make to bring in to the bus drivers at our school. It had to be something that they could grab and run with, and these were an excellent choice. I got many compliments for making them, and I will make them for my family for the holidays too!

My grandchildren love sweets and when they come to Mawma's house they always expect something sweet waiting for them. I baked these up when I knew they were coming and when they asked me what I had special for them I pulled these out. They grabbed one and bit in and they had smiles on their faces, and my littlest one was trying to talk while eating to tell me these were the bestest brownies ever! If they please them then you know it's a wonderful recipe and after finally having one myself they were right, they are awesome; so cinnamony and delicious!

I am always happy when I find a new snack that we love as much as we do these brownies. They are totally different than regular brownies and a change we really like too! They come out so moist and taste just like snickerdoodle cookies, only better if that's possible! These will be had by us lots of times from now on, and I will be sharing this with my family and the people, friends and the people where I work. Yum!

I am happy I stumbled upon this recipe because we love snickerdoodles and when I saw this in brownie form I was elated. I never thought they would be as good as they are. WOWZIE!!! Gotta keep this in a safe place so I can share it and make them again and again and again. My kids went crazy for them and they were gone in a flash. A family keeper!

We made up a batch of these for Thanksgiving and everyone went nuts over them. This is one of those recipes that you wished you had your whole life. I plan to make these often and tell everyone I know how good they are and give them the recipe to try. These are a new kind of brownie for us and we are so happy to have the recipe to make them again and again!

After smelling these while they were cooking the kids just about ran over me when I told them they could have one. They are such a great brownie, and I loved that they were nice and moist. The family is eagerly waiting for the next batch!

A lot of times brownies bake out dry but not these, I was pleased at how they came out, so I'll save this recipe to make again
