"These are so good, and a nice change from chocolate brownies. If you love Snickerdoodle Cookies, then you will love these! Sometimes I finely chop 1 cup of walnuts or pecans, and add them in with the batter. Yumm-O!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a medium mixing bowl beat butter and brown sugar together, adding in the eggs, one at a time, then add in the vanilla.

Step 4

Once everything is added, beat 3-5 minutes, until well mixed.

Step 5

Add the wet ingredients into the flour mixture, and stir until well blended.

Step 6

Spread evenly into the pan. It is a thicker batter so use a large spoon, spatula, or your hands (sprayed with oil) to spread it into the pan.

Step 7

Topping: Mix the sugar and cinnamon together, and sprinkle over the top of the batter.

Step 8

Bake 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 9

Cool, then cut into squares.

Auntie, ever since you made these when Mason had a sleepover at your house, he has been bugging me to make them, and I finally did. These are fabulous and I brought some over to my mom's and they were gobbled up. Dad went crazy over them!

I made these to bring to my papa because he is sick and even though he hasn't been eating much he ate 2 of them and was smiling all the way! They are so delicious auntie. I am glad you told me to make them for papa, cause now I have a new favorite brownie on my hands! Sorry I didn't get a photo, but there is a good one here already.

I wanted something different and easy to make to bring in to the bus drivers at our school. It had to be something that they could grab and run with, and these were an excellent choice. I got many compliments for making them, and I will make them for my family for the holidays too!
