Step 1

First, make the lemonade. Combine the sugar with the 1/4 cup HOT water, stir until completely dissolved. Add the lemon juice and cold water, stir to combine. Set aside.

Step 2

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, place the tea-flavored vodka and 5 ounces of the lemonade. Shake until frosty, about 20 seconds.

Step 3

Strain into a tall ice-filled glass. Garnish with the fruit slices either on the rim of the glass or stirred into the drink, or both.

Wonderful drink! I was really eager to try this drink, because tea-flavored vodka was going to be a new experience for me. It was a success. The vodka wasn't really heavily detected, and the level of sweetness and citrus tone were perfect, so I will keep the amounts of all the ingredients exactly as written in the recipe. I tried several liquor stores over the last couple weeks looking for the right vodka, but I never found the Absolut tea-flavored vodka. I was able to find a bottle of the sweet tea vodka, so I decided to give it a try. And it was really good, not too heavy in tea flavor but the vodka wasn't overpowering either...just right, as the saying goes. I'll keep looking for the Abolut version though because if it's better, then I can imagine how much we'll enjoy the upgraded drink. Thanks JostLori, we really enjoyed your Wild Arnold.
