"This is a very old soup recipe from Libbies school days, Libby is 97 so that tells you. Recipe has no meat in it. This recipe is just a lot of veggies; could be cooked in a crockpot. It also has the alphabet noodles now i used a bag of frozen mixed veggies coleslaw mix cut up some celery and onions easy peazy you may want to add veggie bouillon for fuller flavor"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix cabbage, carrot, onion, potatoes, lima beans, celery, tomato juice, peas, corn, butter, salt and pepper in a stock pot.
Step 2
Add water; simmer for 90 minutes
Step 3
Add alphabet pasta, cook 10 minutes more they get to mushy if added at start
Step 4
Or cook in crockpot. Cook it longer.
