Step by Step Method

Step 1

Trim excess fat from pork

Step 2

Mix ginger and half flour and coat pork cubes with flour mixture

Step 3

Brown pork in oil in heavy skillet, removing pieces as they brown

Step 4

Add water to reserved pineapple syrup to measure 1 3/4 cups liquid

Step 5

Stir pineapple syrup mixture, vinegar, worcestershire sauce and soya sauce into fat in skillet

Step 6

Heat to boiling, stirring constantly

Step 7

Stir in sugar, salt pepper and meat

Step 8

Cover, simmer one hour or until meat is very tender, stirring occasionally

Step 9

Add pineapple and pepper strips, cook 10 min

Step 10

Stir in bean sprouts, water chestnuts and chili sauce

Step 11

Thicken with remaining flour and cook 5 minutes longer

Step 12

Serve over rice
