Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a skillet over high heat heat the oil. Add the broccolini and saute for 1 minute. Add 1/4 cup water and cook turning for 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Transfer to bowl and set aside.

Step 2

Add remaining oil (2 tablespoons) to skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute for 3-5 minutes or until onion is soft and beginning to brown. Stir in chilies and garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Stir in remaining water (1/4 cup) and rest of the ingredients (fish sauce - pepper).

Step 3

Return broccolini to skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through.

Delicious side! The broccolini at the market didn’t look so good, so opted to buy broccoli instead. I added only 1 tablespoon of fish sauce and another of soy sauce (to reduce any possible fishiness for the hubs, who is not a fish lover), but I think it would have been fine with 2. Came out very tasty. Thank you, ellie, for sharing. Made it for Billboard Tag game.
