Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 tablespoons oil (grapeseed oil or corn oil, divided)
  • 1 1/2 pounds broccolini (trimmed)
  • 1/2 cup water, divided
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 2 small dried red chilies (seeded and chopped)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a skillet over high heat heat the oil. Add the broccolini and saute for 1 minute. Add 1/4 cup water and cook turning for 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Transfer to bowl and set aside.

  • Step 2: Add remaining oil (2 tablespoons) to skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute for 3-5 minutes or until onion is soft and beginning to brown. Stir in chilies and garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Stir in remaining water (1/4 cup) and rest of the ingredients (fish sauce - pepper).

  • Step 3: Return broccolini to skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
