Spicy Burrito Bowls
"There is a Mexican restaurant we like to go to, and my favorite dish there is a spicy burrito bowl. I have been trying to make a copycat version of it for a while now, and I am finally happy with the recipe. I have listed a bunch of toppings they offer at the restaurant that you can add to this so just add your favorites. Don't let the long list of ingredients intimidate you, this recipe is actually quite easy to put together."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Whisk together the sauce ingredients, pour into a squirt bottle, and set aside.
Step 2
Mix the seasoning mix ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a medium skillet, over medium-high heat and add the ground beef, 1/4 cup water, green chiles, and seasoning mix. Break the meat apart with a wooden spoon while cooking. Cook until the meat is brown and cooked through.
Step 4
Heat the rice in a microwave, for a minute or two, until warmed through.
Step 5
Divide the cooked meat mixture and rice among 4 bowls, add your favorite toppings, and sprinkle with the prepared sauce. I also like to add a bit of lime crema sauce to break the heat a bit, but that is a personal preference.
