"Let's get this straight right from the get-go: This recipe is not good for you; there is not one thing that is nutritionally redeeming about this combination of ingredients. However, it is SO gosh darn good tasting that you must splurge once in awhile; it makes a ton and pretty darn cheap to make. Kids love it (even my spaghetti hating daughter!), grown ups secretly love it, too. Just remember you've been warned and I don't take angry phone calls from doctors or Weight Watchers leaders."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Spray 11x14-inch baking pan (I use a smaller broiler pan) with vegetable spray.

Step 2

Brown ground beef in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain.

Step 3

Stir in spaghetti sauce. Add Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Cook spaghetti using package directions; drain.

Step 5

Combine Cheez Whiz and sour cream with pasta; mix well. This works best if the pasta is really hot to help melt the mixture. Be patient in mixing, it may take awhile to get it all mixed together.

Step 6

Stir in the sauce and hamburger mixture. Again, be patient and mix well. It's okay if you sort of layer it and mix it together as you go. Spoon into prepared pan.

Step 7

Top with mozzarella cheese.

Step 8

Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
