Since its start in 1980, the Grandiosa has been a part of Norwegian modern cuisine trends, going so far as to be unofficially titled "The National Dish of Norway". -- Pizza became popular in Sweden around 1970 & was developed w/lots of innovation. Swedish pizzerias are mostly family-owned & offer 40-50 different varieties on the menu, even up to as many as 100. Personal modifications are not only allowed, but welcomed. -- The Norwegian & Swedish passion for pizza spills over into their home cooking. Pizza has become a staple food in Sweden & is served to their families hot, cold & often. This recipe is for a cold pizza served as a starter course or party appetizer. Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine the cream cheese, lemon juice & dry dill. Spread the mixture to within 1/2-in of the edges of the crust. Scatter the chopped chives over the cream cheese.

Step 2

Arrange the thinly sliced cucumbers over the cream cheese.

Step 3

Scatter the flaked salmon over the cucumbers & then the red onions, fresh dill & fresh parsley. Cut into wedges serve.

Step 4

NOTE #1: Tightly wrapped leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 dys, but expect the crust to soften.

Step 5

NOTE #2: If needed, feel free to use dry herbs. Since I often have to do that, I thought you deserved the same liberty I take.

Step 6

Note #3: I listed the yield as 12 servings when used as a starter course or appetizer. If it is used as a main course, it should serve 4 w/a sml salad on the side.

Having grown up on lox (cured smoked salmon), I knew I would like this. And I did. So would my family. I used a Boboli whole wheat crust, cut the recipe in half and left out the onions. Hopefully that is ok since the description says that pizzas from this region are designed to be customized. It was really tasty...eaten as dinner. Will make it to my appetizer table sometime cut in squares.

Wow, I knew this was going to be awesome, but I did not know just how much. The ingredients and amounts are super perfect together. We used probably half the cream cheese, since the kind we get is whipped. The fresh herbs and lemon really make this pop.

Only change I made was to use small pizza crusts and the rest was as listed and fantastic! I would make this again as I'm a huge fan of smoked salmon and cream cheese. The freshness of the other ingredients took this dish up another notch. Thanks!
