"You don't want to miss this one. The recipe came with my electricity bill, probably some 40+ years ago. I tried it and found it to be the best recipe for Sloppy Joes that I had made. I have been making it ever since. Great taste and just the right amount of everything. You can put it in the crockpot and cook all day OR on top of the stove for a couple of hours."

Step 1

Brown beef in a skillet along with the onion and green pepper; add the rest of the ingredients (minus the hamburg buns).

Step 2

Either put in crock pot and cook on low all for several hours or do it on top of the stove over low heat for about two hours; watching so it will not get too dry; add a tad of water if needed.

Made these when my grandson visited. Was so easy done on top of the stove. Yummy!

We really enjoyed this delocious recipe. When I served the burger I topped it with a large slice of beefsteak tomato, slice of sweet onion, 4 cloves of roasted garlic and a sprinkle of shredded cheese. This goes into the do again book

Nummy, had this for my daughter's b-day party.. everyone loved the recipe! We doubled it... I also added 2 stalks of celery and 1/2 the hamburger with turkey. They really like that it came from an electric bill!
