"This is another wonderful " Comfort Food " recipe from Stacky5,who passed away in 2008. Her original description: This is my sister's recipe that was my Mom's favorite as well as my Nana's favorite...Very tasty and really easy to make! My review from 2008: I made this on 10/29/08 for "Stacky5 Cook-A-Thon"and as part of mine and SO's dinner. This is what meatloaf is supposed to be,pure "Comfort Food". Followed the recipe as written, except for using dehydrated red and green peppers instead of fresh.I've eaten several meatloaves in my time and this has to be in the "Top 5" (Mom's of course is #1 :) ) .Perfect taste and texture, and baking time right on the money. If I could give this recipe more than 5 stars, believe me I would. Every time I make this I'm going to think of you Stacy."Keep Smiling :)" The 75 minute Cook Time is really 1 hour & 15 minutes. I'm listing the servings for 6 but to me,its really 4 servings with leftovers for sandwiches. :)Loving re posted to " ZAAZ " on July 10th.2014. " Keep Smiling :)"

Best meatloaf I have ever made. I used 1 1/2lb of ground round and 1/2 lb ground veal. Loved the topping. The meat loaf was nice and moist

I made this minus the peppers (just a personal preference for us). The topping was pretty sweet but we liked it, though not as much as others we have tried. I am assuming you meant 1/4 teaspoon of celery salt and garlic salt, but the teaspoon is missing in your recipe. The sage added a nice flavor to the meatloaf. All in all pretty good. The instructions are confusing saying to mix all but 1/2 can of tomato sauce, when in actuality you shouldn't have added the brown sugar in, because you use that later for the sauce. Recipe needs to be rewritten.
