Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 large eggs (well beaten)
  • 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce (split in half)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt (I used celery powder)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt (I used garlic powder)
  • 20 crackers (soda crackers, crushed)
  • 3/4 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix all ingredients together except for 1/2 can tomato sauce and brown sugar.

  • Step 2: Form into loaf and place in glass loaf pan.

  • Step 3: Cook in a 350 degree preheated oven for 1 hour.

  • Step 4: Mix remaining 1/2 of tomato sauce with the brown sugar.

  • Step 5: Take loaf out of oven and spread the tomato sauce/brown sugar mixture over the top.

  • Step 6: Cook for additional 15 minutes.
