Salisbury Meatballs
"I found this recipe in the TOH's 2013 Quick Cooking Annual Recipes and it was sent to them by Maria Regakis from Somerville,Massachusetts. The recipes states that the total prep and cooking time was 20 minutes, but to get the onions completely softened it took at least twenty minutes. For my prep time I'm also adding the twenty minutes for cooking the onion. After tasting the gravy and before adding the meatballs,I felt the gravy was missing just that " little something ". So I added some dried oregano and a bit of Worcestershire sauce.I served the meatballs and gravy over egg noodles, but I think it would be equally good served over mashed potatoes or rice."
