Real Kool Cupcakes
"This is something I improvised for my son when he was small. These are nice for a children's party. Different colors of Kool-Aid will make different colored cupcakes."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Grease and flour 12 muffin cups. Set aside.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
Step 3
Beat butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar together until very light and fluffy.
Step 4
Combine Kool-Aid and remaining sugar, and beat into butter mixture.
Step 5
Beat in eggs one at a time. Beat in vanilla extract and baking powder.
Step 6
Beat in flour and milk alternately until just combined. Do not overbeat.
Step 7
Pour batter into muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
Step 8
Bake for about 25 minutes, or until tops spring back when touched and tester comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
