  • 1 (1/4-ounce) package unsweetened Kool-Aid, any flavor
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Grease and flour 12 muffin cups. Set aside.

  • Step 2: Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.

  • Step 3: Beat butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar together until very light and fluffy.

  • Step 4: Combine Kool-Aid and remaining sugar, and beat into butter mixture.

  • Step 5: Beat in eggs one at a time. Beat in vanilla extract and baking powder.

  • Step 6: Beat in flour and milk alternately until just combined. Do not overbeat.

  • Step 7: Pour batter into muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.

  • Step 8: Bake for about 25 minutes, or until tops spring back when touched and tester comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
