"Sometimes at the holidays there is a mad rush and you just can't do everything totally homemade like you'd like! Especially when most of your guests are traveling long distances so their contribution to the meal is a bottle of wine or some napkins. LOL!"
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Place the yams in a large bowl. Coarsely mash with a potato masher. Stir in the creme fraiche and the next 6 ingredients (through egg).
Spoon the potato mixture into an 8 inch square glass or ceramic baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with marshmallows and almonds.
Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated and the marshamallows are browned.
