Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Step 2

Drain mincemeat well in wire mesh strainer. Spread in the bottom of pie crust. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Pour into pie pan on top of mincemeat.

Step 3

Bake at 450 degrees F. for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees F. and continue baking for another 30 minutes. Let cool completely before serving. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream if you like.

Delicious additon to my Holiday Family Favourites. Checking through the Thanksgiving recipes over at our Potluck Forum sees to a long overdue review. I picked up a jar of mincemeat in time to add to last years Christmas dessert offerings. I used my Madam Benoit pastry recipe and made as posted. No leftovers with this one
