"This is a Betty Crocker recipe but Laura used something similar at camp David Christmas they probably used real maple syrup but Betty had maple flavored syrup you do you. Can use margarine to make vegan of course"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Pierce sweet potatoes with fork.
Step 3
Place potatoes in square pan, 9x9x2 inches.
Step 4
Cover and bake about 1 hour 15 minutes or until potatoes can be easily pierced with a knife.
Step 5
Slip off skins.
Step 6
Beat potatoes with electric mixer on medium speed until no lumps remain.
Step 7
Add 2 tablespoons syrup, the butter, salt and cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.
Step 8
Continue beating until potatoes are light and fluffy. Drizzle with additional syrup and butter.
