Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons maple flavored syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Garnish:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2: Pierce sweet potatoes with fork.

  • Step 3: Place potatoes in square pan, 9x9x2 inches.

  • Step 4: Cover and bake about 1 hour 15 minutes or until potatoes can be easily pierced with a knife.

  • Step 5: Slip off skins.

  • Step 6: Beat potatoes with electric mixer on medium speed until no lumps remain.

  • Step 7: Add 2 tablespoons syrup, the butter, salt and cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.

  • Step 8: Continue beating until potatoes are light and fluffy. Drizzle with additional syrup and butter.
