Step 1: Heat oven to 350°F.
Step 2: Pierce sweet potatoes with fork.
Step 3: Place potatoes in square pan, 9x9x2 inches.
Step 4: Cover and bake about 1 hour 15 minutes or until potatoes can be easily pierced with a knife.
Step 5: Slip off skins.
Step 6: Beat potatoes with electric mixer on medium speed until no lumps remain.
Step 7: Add 2 tablespoons syrup, the butter, salt and cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.
Step 8: Continue beating until potatoes are light and fluffy. Drizzle with additional syrup and butter.
