"I have been making this for my family for as long as I can remember. It is a great casserole to throw together for a weeknight. We just love it. Feel free to add any toppings you like on a pizza. In the pics I added green olives and jalepeno's. Feel free to use any pasta also. Some of the pics, I added green olives, black olives and used elbow macarnoi. Any pasta can be used. We love this casserole for its versatility."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°. Start water to boil noodles. When boiling, add noodles and cook until ready. Do not overcook noodles.

Step 2

Meanwhile brown hamburger with onions, peppers and garlic. Add crushed fennel seeds after a few minutes of browning and continue to brown. Drain grease.

Step 3

In a large bowl place drained hamburger and add spaghetti sauces, oregano, sugar, basil, garlic powder, 3/4 of the pepperoni, and 1/2 cup mozzarella, and 1/2 cup cheddar. Mix well and set aside. (Be sure to separate the pepperoni when addding it.) Noodles should be done by now, drain the noodles and add to the spaghetti sauce mixture.

Step 4

Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle remaining cheeses on top and decorate with the leftover pepperoni. (like the top of a pizza.)

Step 5

Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and cheese is just starting to brown.

I had some cooked noodles left over and didn't want to toss them...I found this recipe and sized it down to serve 2 people...well it ended up making 4 servings...I cooked it in a 8X8 inch pan...I was able to lower the WW points by using ground turkey...turkey pepperoni and low fat cheeses...this was so yummy...made for "What's On The Menu" tag game at FFF...thanks for sharing your recipe...

This is a great potluck dish! I changed up the proportions by using one 26 oz jar of marinara sauce and two 8 oz cans of tomato sauce, and only half of the pound package of egg noodles. Even with the lesser amount, it still filled a 13X9 dish and was well received at the potluck!
