"This is a really good side dish that goes well with ham. I only use a 1/4 cup sugar because I think pineapples are naturally sweet, but you made add more if you like it sweeter. You can also use the chunk pineapples if you prefer in this recipe but I like the tidbits or crushed because it is fork friendly. :)"

I always make half a recipe for the two of us. It is easy and a great tasting side that goes wonderfully with ham, pork, turkey and chicken. We enjoy it every time!

Elsie I took your advise and only used 1/4 cup of sugar. It was perfect, and I think it would have been too sweet for us using more. It turned out golden brown on top and was rich and delicious along with our ham for Easter dinner. This is an extra special dish that I will make to go with ham any time we have it. It was delicious and really complimented our meal and made it extra special!

This was one of the sides we had for our Easter buffet. The whole gang was here and it was a great choice to have with ham. What a great pineapple recipe! We will have this again with ham.
