Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cream butter, shortening and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg.
Step 2
Add lemon juice and lemon peel and mix well.

In another bowl, combine remaining ingredients.

Add to cream mixture.
Step 5
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 6
Remove from refrigerator and form into two 10-inch rolls on waxed paper.
Step 7
Wrap tightly and refrigerate overnight.
Step 8
Next day, preheat oven to 400F.
Step 9
Slice rolls into 1/4-inch slices and bake on ungreased cookie sheets 8 to 10 minutes.
