Step 1: Cream butter, shortening and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg.
Step 2: Add lemon juice and lemon peel and mix well.
Step 3: In another bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
Step 4: Add to cream mixture.
Step 5: Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 6: Remove from refrigerator and form into two 10-inch rolls on waxed paper.
Step 7: Wrap tightly and refrigerate overnight.
Step 8: Next day, preheat oven to 400F.
Step 9: Slice rolls into 1/4-inch slices and bake on ungreased cookie sheets 8 to 10 minutes.
