Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cook pasta until al dente (firm to the bite). Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Meanwhile, melt butter in medium saucepan until it starts to bubble and foam. Add garlic saute 1 minute. Pour in cream and bring to a boil. Add the cooked pasta, stirring to coat well; then stir in the Parmesan cheese until well combined.

Step 3

Season with salt and pepper, as desired and serve.

I scaled back to 1 serve and not only was it a delicious meal but so quick it actually took longer to get the water up to boil than prep and cook this dish. I did though take a leaf out of Giada's book and instead of draining the pasta I scoop it out of the water with a slotted spoon and straight into the cream sauce and then added the parmesan and some more on top for serving.
