Step by Step Method
Step 1
Broil oysters in 9 x 9 inch pan to remove excess liquid (only about a minute); drain.
Step 2
Meanwhile saute butter with garlic.
Step 3
Add chopped spinach and saute until wilted.
Step 4
Add anisette and set aside.
Step 5
Spoon spinach mixture over oysters (either in the 9x9 inch pan or on individual oyster shells).
Step 6
Mix the spring onions, egg, mayonnaise, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Romano cheese, and dry mustard; spoon over spinach mixture.
Step 7
Return to broiler and cook until browned on top .
