Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 oysters, shucked
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 fresh garlic cloves,minced
  • 9 ounces baby spinach,chopped
  • 1 teaspoon anisette
  • 4 spring onions, diced
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 dash Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup Romano cheese,shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

How to Make

  • Step 1: Broil oysters in 9 x 9 inch pan to remove excess liquid (only about a minute); drain.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile saute butter with garlic.

  • Step 3: Add chopped spinach and saute until wilted.

  • Step 4: Add anisette and set aside.

  • Step 5: Spoon spinach mixture over oysters (either in the 9x9 inch pan or on individual oyster shells).

  • Step 6: Mix the spring onions, egg, mayonnaise, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Romano cheese, and dry mustard; spoon over spinach mixture.

  • Step 7: Return to broiler and cook until browned on top .
