Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 2
Beat in egg, orange peel, lemon peel and extracts.
Step 3
In another bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture.
Step 4
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto parchment paper-lined baking sheets.
Step 5
If desired, top with orange or lemon peel strips.
Step 6
Bake at 350F for 6-8 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
Step 7
Remove from pans to wire cooling racks to cool.
