Step 1
Soak bean add in water overnight
Step 2
Put on to cook until just soft drain,saving 1/2 cup of the boiling bean juice

In covered roaster

Lay down ham fat . Cover with beans . Cover with onion

In boiling juice add seasonings and honey. Pour over onion
Step 6
Cover with ham steak. Pour over tomatoes
Step 7
Cover pan. Bake in 325 degreee oven for about 4 hours check to see that beans dont run dry add more water if needed
