Step 1

Place 6 1/2 cups of water in a saucepan and add the cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Bring to a boil, turn down the heat to low, cover the pan, and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and add the tea bags. Let the tea bags steep for 3 - 4 minutes, or up to 5 minutes for stronger brew. Strain the tea into a clean saucepan, stir in the Tang and almond extract, and let cool to room temperature before refrigerating.

Step 2

Serve over ice in tall 12-ounce glasses and garnish each serving with a slice of orange or lemon.

NOTE: Experiment with each flavoring, adding more or less to suit your personal taste. This tea can be kept in the refrigerator overnight, but it will be cloudy the next day - behaving the same as regular tea.

Oh my goodness! This is one FABULOUS cup of tea. And it was equally good served as a hot beverage as well as drinking it as an iced beverage. The exotic, warm spices used in this recipe blend really well with the orange Tang mix and tea base, and it makes a tasty cup of tea with a slight tangy overtone. This is going on my "Best of 2022" list, for sure. Thanks for another "keeper" of a recipe, ForeverMama.
